Check Lens Compatibility Instantly

Lens Compatibility Calculator

If you’ve ever tried mixing camera brands or using an older lens on a newer body, you already know that not every lens fits every camera.
Each system — Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, and others — has its own mount design and flange distance, so you can’t simply attach any lens to any camera.

Even lenses from the same manufacturer can be tricky.
For example, Canon EF lenses won’t mount directly on Canon RF mirrorless bodies without an adapter — and Nikon F DSLR lenses need an FTZ adapter to work on Nikon Z cameras.

To make life easier, we’ve built a free online Lens Compatibility Checker.

How It Works

Just enter the name of your camera (for example, Nikon D750, Canon EOS R6, or Sony A7 III), and the tool will instantly show you:

Native Lenses — lenses that mount directly and retain full functionality.
🔁 Adapters Required — lenses usable with a simple adapter (with or without electronics).
Not Compatible — lenses that cannot be mounted or won’t focus to infinity.

ℹ️ Flange Distance - the distance from the mount surface to the sensor (flange = the metal mounting surface on the camera body that the lens attaches to).

It’s a quick way to avoid buying the wrong lens or wasting time searching for compatibility lists online.
